I wish I could give more stars to Aksara Heritage Inn—the hospitality and kindness of the staff are truly beyond words. Upon our arrival, my 17-month-old was exhausted and sleeping. The wonderful Poy at reception, noticing this, graciously offered us an early check-in as soon as a room was available. Their thoughtfulness made our first impression incredibly warm. Throughout our stay, the entire staff was exceptionally caring and playful with my daughter, making her feel right at home. A special shoutout to Anold, Mook, and Pukky from the restaurant staff—their kindness and attentiveness were remarkable. They remembered my daughter’s favorite meal of steamed rice and curd and would promptly serve it in a cute Hello Kitty plate as soon as we were seated. When I requested hot cow milk for my baby, they generously provided it free of charge every day for the entire five-day stay. The staff also helped us with our travel plans, guiding us towards better and more affordable private tours. They even stepped out into the streets to bargain with a tuk-tuk driver to get us a fair price for a ride to the local market. On the day of an early tour starting at 7:00 AM, they thoughtfully packed us breakfast boxes—a gesture we truly appreciated. The restaurant itself was exceptional. The food was so delicious that we didn’t even consider dining elsewhere. I highly recommend trying their pineapple fried rice, chicken quesadilla, and fried prawns in red curry sauce—each dish was simply divine. A huge thanks to Zank, Kool, Patcy, and P. Mai from the restaurant team for their outstanding service and warm smiles throughout our stay. The housekeeping and luggage service were equally impressive. Date, who handled our luggage, was extremely careful and courteous, ensuring everything was managed smoothly. The housekeeping team diligently refilled our minibar with snacks, water, and Coke daily, making sure we were always well-stocked.

A Hidden Gem – Perfect Stay! We had the most wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel feel right at home, everyone attentiveand with the biggest warm smile. Special mention to Ferrai from the reception who was there to greet us when we arrived and to say goodbye when we left, she was very professional, kind and attentive. The hotel itself is beautiful, The attention to every little detail in the decor, Our room was beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The hotel’s location was ideal—in the heart of the old city, close enough to explore the area easily but tucked away enough to provide a peaceful retreat. Breakfast was a delight, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a lovely selection of options and a delicious daily special. Good size pool, cozy area to take a dip and cool down and very clean. Good pool bar service. Recommend it. And if coming back to chiang mai, will definitely be back!

The Aksara Heritage Hotel is a charming boutique property right in the thick of historic Chiang Mai. Our room, a deluxe double with balcony, was very comfortable. So much so, we might've been tempted to just laze the days away in its inviting embrace. But too much culture and history lay only steps away! The staff were absolutely great - from Dao who welcomed us warmly and showed us the ropes, to the wonderful supervisor who helped us arrange a car and driver for exploring some attractions just outside the city, to the cheerful restaurant crew who helped us start each day well fed and caffeinated. The hotel sits on the road that becomes the Sunday Night Market Street, no taxi or tuk tuk required. When we arrived, we could see the setup was already under way for that evening’s market. So if you're checking in on a Sunday, consider arriving before the street closes in favor of the market. We really enjoyed our stay at the Aksara Heritage.

Everything was just as it should be for a relaxing holiday. A medium-sized hotel in Lana style- with very good upkeep. Great room, huge-comfy bed with a shower and separate bath. We faced (second floor) the busy street (with the "fantastic" Sunday street market we could not hear it when we went to bed, but great to watch the passing people. The pool is lovely and a good temperature. STAFF- are exceptional. 100 ticks for every staff member (especially Nam-who sadly has left for a bigger hotel) They could not do more for us. We were there for a family birthday spending 10 days (long-stay guests get two free mocktails) HIGHLY Recommend hotel, as long as we can get a room when we go back :-)
